We began in 1970 with 2 full time employees providing complete landscape maintenance and applicable support services for businesses, government entities, private residences, and other establishments in the Triangle area. At that time there were only 3 “commercial landscapers” in the area. In 1982, we became incorporated under our current name. With all the growth in our area over the last 35 years, we have been able to expand–but in a manner that has allowed us to maintain our core principles. We have also added to the list of outdoor services we provide to include those featured in this site!
We apply an honest, common-sense approach to all aspects of our suggestions/proposals to prospective customers. We do not encourage clients to do something that we would not do if the money being spent was ours—even if it costs us work. Having provided landscape maintenance for so many years, we have insight on what happens in 5, 10, or 20 years with different approaches to plant and hardscape installations; not just what something looks like when it has just been done. We are locally owned and although we are not a multi-branch company, we take pride in personal service and rapid solutions to any discrepancy that might arise.
We serve the Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Wake Forest, Morrisville, Youngsville, Garner, and Creedmoor areas.
We are a NC Landscape Contractor (North Carolina Landscape Contractors’ Licensing Board #0517—Corporate License #CL1007) and a NC Irrigation Contractor (North Carolina Irrigation Contractor’s Licensing Board #486—Corporate License #C-342). Using a licensed contractor ensures our customers we have the knowledge required and maintain integrity in our business practices.
We are licensed for ornamental and aquatic pesticide application as required by law (North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services–Pesticide Board License #026-7041).
We have extensive liability insurance, along with workers compensation insurance as mandated by law. Our employees are uniformed and our vehicles marked for the security of our clients.
Over the years, we have seen our industry evolve in many ways. It’s hard to fathom, but there were no backpack blowers or string trimmers in 1970, not to mention larger equipment like zero turn mowers!
The overall intensity of the business has increased over the last 50 years to reflect our society’s appreciation for beautiful, manicured lawns. The result of this increased interest is the desire for irrigation, landscape lighting, outdoor living spaces, and other amenities.
We have also embraced the need for our industry to be a leader in protecting our environment and have significantly adapted all of our services to help accomplish that goal. We now use less chemicals (and the ones we do use are much less dangerous), strive to conserve water in all aspects of our business, use equipment with lower emissions, work to control soil erosion, and work in a manner to keep organic matter out of our waterways.
